I think my second attempt at a snowy mountain scene below looks rather better. I then tried a scene in the rain. To enhance the impression of rain I added some water droplets to the 'lens' of the camera with Eye Candy.

Terragen is not limited to Earth; landscape of other worlds can be rendered just as easily. below are a couple of my attempts. The starscapes are added with Paint Shop Pro.
