In this example I created what looks to me very much like a yellow gorse-clad hillside. For the second image I increased the coverage of the 'gorse' and moved the camera position very slightly.
The next render is intended to show the sun setting in the distance. In another area of the same map the was a scene that looked like the caldera of a volcano. I added some trees to the island in the middle in Paint Shop Pro, although I am not very happy with the result.

The next two renders are of the 'caldera' from different camera positions. I thought that the scene might well be in the Tropics, so I changed the settings accordingly for the third image.
